Evaluate the ability of vaccination to reduce primary EBV infection and/or infectious mononucleosis in EBV-seronegative populations.

Long-Term Disease Prevention

Longitudinal follow-up and population-based studies could determine whether prevention or modification of primary EBV infection translates into reduced incidence of EBV-associated cancers and autoimmune diseases.

This strategy provides clinically measurable near-term endpoints while creating the foundation for a substantially broader long-term disease-prevention opportunity.
